Breach 7xLP Box Set

Well, the last entry is five years old and I really don't know where to start here (again). I can't really remember or find it in the papers, when we (Pierre and me) started to talk about and plan a box set, but I guess it must have been around 2015. Since I was always left with 50+ records of each release with a damaged or without a cover, we knew we had to do something. No one of us thought it would take long, but life isn't always easy.

So here we go: The box set features the Breach releases 'It's me god', 'Venom', 'Godbox' and 'Kollapse'. Every record comes in a silver ink handscreened LP cover with different cover artwork and is housed together in a handmade collectors box. Each one of the 50 copies comes with an original 'Godhead' drawing of Pierre Johansson, well-placed in an offset printed inlaysheet with all the other godheads. As always everything is designed by Pierre aswell. Each Box Set copy is handnumbered and personalized and will be shipped insured and with tracking.

Please remind, that this whole thing took a long time, was done almost entirely by hand and is a piece of dedication.

If this is sold out, it will be sold out. One copy per person. I will not take any reservations or answer messages. Thanks for understanding.

The circle is now completed: Apocaplexy lastly releases Breach's 2nd full length 'It's me god' (1997) on vinyl. The one where the magic started to happen. I still know the moment when I discovered Breach: At a certain time, I began to check out some samplers to discover some "new" bands, and at some point, I was listening to that 'Cheap Shots III' Sampler of Burning Heart. My lameness got immediately healed, when 'Replenish The Empty' started to play. I felt like I found a diamond in the mud, a beast within a big bunch of Melodypunk, for which Burning Heart mostly stood for.
I fell in love with that band this very second.

Like 'Venom', 'It's me god' will be availabe again on vinyl for the first time within 17 years (the edition on Trust No One Recordings came out 1999). Again licensed by Epitaph Europe, remastered by Karl Daniel Lidén, cut on 45rpm, pressed on 180g vinyl and with a newly designed LP artwork by Pierre Johansson, which is printed full colour, silver ink & UV spot lacquer on heavy gatefold jackets.

According to the bands wish, there will be no further re-releases. No use in asking for 'Friction', 'Outlines', 'EP Collection' or something else.

Breach - Venom 2xLP

Venom

The circle is nearly complete: Apocaplexy lastly releases Breach's infamous album 'Venom' on vinyl. Originally released by longtime conspirators Burning Heart closely prior the new millennium it is probably the bands most well received work. Through a connection to Neurosis it even saw a US licensing by Relapse Records. This deal wasn't built to endure for a long period. About the time Relapse started to show bigger interest in working closely with Breach, the band and it’s internal relations started to deteriorate.

'Venom' was the breaking point for Breach. The steps away from the classical hardcore into a heavier, darker and more complex approach were taken slowly but steady – 'Venom' was the defining moment for what this band was capable of and what made them so unique. The heavy riffing, meditative and almost tribal rhythms, the overall claustrophobic atmosphere alongside the trademark vocals and apocalyptic lyrics made this record one of a kind. This record even brought a full-on music video in form of the instrumental 'Diablo' with airplay on global music programs. Still Breach unfortunately only made a small impact in the overall picture of heavy music, only gaining a small circle of loyal fans. Over the years this group of loyal admirers grew in numbers and Breach's influence on contemporary heavy music is unmistakable – and 'Venom' was the main reason for this.

Now for the first time in years the record will be available on vinyl again. After bringing 'Godbox' and 'Kollapse' to vinyl, Apocaplexy is proud to announce the second coming of 'Venom' in it’s full glory, licensed by Epitaph Europe, remastered by Karl Daniel Lidén, cut on 45rpm, pressed on 180g vinyl and with a newly designed LP artwork by Pierre Johansson, which is printed full colour & Pantone on heavy gatefold jackets.

Terra Tenebrosas V.I.T.R.I.O.L. marks the transformation of The Cuckoo, the main figure behind Terra Tenebrosa, from the albums The Tunnels to The Purging.

This makes totally sense, because the record features two lenghty tracks from both album recording sessions. Side A track Draining The Well is once again a nearly 18 minutes long, oppressing journey through both, the dark mind of The Cuckoo as well as the listener's. It finally erupts from dark ambiances into a loud, violent final. Side B track Apokatastasis has with just about 7 minutes a more straight-forward approach, with guitars well known from Breach. Apokatastasis was the first sign ever from The Cuckoo, it gave birth to Terra Tenebrosa and what became The Tunnels and The Purging. Underlying both tracks are those strange, buzzig vocals, which evoke numerous dark stories and events in the listener's mind. Again and again.

V.I.T.R.I.O.L. - Purging The Tunnels is closing a chapter, it puts an end to the conceptual approach of both albums, The Tunnels and The Purging. The new Terra Tenebrosa according to The Cuckoo is faster, more violent and… ugly.

After 12 years of the original release and 2 years of several tries, tons of emails and hours on the phone, Apocaplexy Records is proud to finally announce the vinyl edition of a true masterpiece, an enormous milestone of an album. Licensed by Epitaph Europe for a one time press of just 500 copies. At the moment it is totally unsure, if there will be a chance for a repress at some point.

The 180g records will contain the 11 original tracks cut on 45rpm, remastered from the old tapes by Karl Daniel Lidén and a previously unreleased track called Empty Hand, which was found during the process of remastering. Artwork was done again by long term Breach designer Pierre Johansson and is printed with silver ink & UV lacquer on 350g heavy gatefold jackets.
